About my story…

In June of 2025, I went to the ER with a massive back spasm. While there, they performed a CT scan and noticed significant swelling in my pelvic lymph nodes. While the back spasm did go away after a couple of days, I was then hit with reoccurring infections and yeast infections over the course of the next 2 months, as well as a blood clot in my left leg. After several rounds of antibiotics, blood thinners, and anti-fungals, repeat imaging was done but the swollen lymph nodes continued to increase in size.

By September, I had 6 ER visits, multiple specialists visits, repeat imaging, and countless labs to try and figure out the cause for these infections. By the 7th, I started experiencing severe hip pain, night sweats, chills, and low-grade fevers and I was then hospitalized for 4 days while I received numerous intravenous antibiotic treatments, diagnostic testing, and even more labs/imaging. After all this, no answers were found.

It wasn’t long before the infection came back with a vengeance and I was then hospitalized for 6 days while they continued to pump me full of antibiotics and do more diagnostic testing to figure out what was wrong. Even still, no answers were found and worsening symptoms such as leg swelling and pain began to appear.

It was then I decided to transfer my case to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. After they took a look, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Cancer. A tough pill to swallow that would require aggressive chemotherapy treatments. Due to my limited access to social media, I wanted to create a way for my family and friends to keep in contact with my progress in fighting this disease.

Through it all, God’s presence has been immensely felt and I can see where he has been ahead of me every step of the way, guiding me. The overwhelming and underlying peace during this whole situation is palpable. I believe my name was a God-given name, and it means “Warrior”. And that’s exactly what I plan to do – FIGHT. Together with God and the support of my family and friends, I believe I will kick this cancer to the curb.
